    I’m an industrial engineer at Toyota Motor Europe, where I’ve worked in various roles across supply chain and manufacturing, and I’m currently contributing to a supply chain transformation project. Throughout my career, I’ve gained international experience in Belgium, Poland, and Türkiye, developing solid expertise in production management and process improvement. I hold degrees in mechanical engineering from both Politecnico di Bari and Politecnico di Torino.

    Over the past 20 years, Dr. Kevin Pilz has led large-scale transformation and performance improvement efforts across global pharmaceutical supply chains, improving access to medicines in more than 20 countries. His expertise includes end-to-end supply chain optimization, operational innovation, cross-functional leadership, and data-driven decision-making in complex environments. He has held senior roles with the U.S. Agency for International Development and the World Bank, and has advised global pharmaceutical companies, UN agencies, and governments on systems-oriented supply chain initiatives. Kevin holds a PhD in biomedical research from Cornell University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management at MIT to deepen his expertise in applying advanced analytics and quantitative modeling for strategic impact.

    Hi, I’m Luis, and I was born and raised in Valencia, Spain. I moved to the U.S. to pursue my B.S. in Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech, and after graduating, I spent three years in Houston working at HP Inc. in supply chain network design and logistics optimization. At HP, I supported large-scale global distribution strategy initiatives across North America and EMEA, using analytics, optimization, and digital twin models to improve cost, service, resiliency, and sustainability. I especially enjoy translating complex analyses into clear insights that enable strong decision-making and real-world implementation.


    Outside of work and academics, I enjoy soccer, skiing, and ultra-distance triathlons with friends, drawn by challenge, growth, and community.

  • Rafael Rodas

    Rafael Rodas is an operations executive who helps companies scale through disciplined strategy execution, thoughtful deployment of technology, and the design of teams built to deliver sustained results. He builds operations organizations structured for growth—aligning people, processes, and systems to drive performance and long-term value creation.

    As Chief Operating Officer of Clio Snacks, a high-growth consumer packaged goods company, Rafael leads operational strategy, supply chain management, manufacturing, research & development, food safety and quality, and information systems. He has aligned the operations organization to the company’s strategic objectives, implemented enterprise systems to strengthen performance, and enhanced cross-functional execution to support revenue growth and the achievement of financial targets.

    Rafael brings deep experience in scaling consumer brands. At SodaStream USA, following its acquisition by PepsiCo, he led operations during a period of significant revenue expansion, including rapid growth of the company’s direct-to-consumer channel. He also led the U.S. expansion of Brazil’s Havaianas footwear brand, overseeing operations, supply chain, retail, and e-commerce channels while driving meaningful growth across physical stores and digital platforms.

    His leadership philosophy centers on people, process discipline, and the intelligent use of systems and technology. He focuses on placing the right talent in the right roles, building alignment across functions, and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making where teams are empowered to act with clarity and confidence.

    Rafael holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Rutgers University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is a Candidate for the Master of Applied Science in Supply Chain Management (Class of 2026) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    Sandeep Sharma is a Senior Manager at Walmart U.S., where he leads strategic initiatives across the eCommerce supply chain, including promising and sourcing, fulfillment optimization, last-mile delivery, and customer experience. With over 13 years of experience spanning product development, product management, consulting, and data science, he has worked across Walmart, Deloitte, EY, Gartner, Snapdeal, and UnitedHealth Group, driving large-scale transformation initiatives in retail, financial services, and the public sector. During his consulting career, Sandeep led multimillion-dollar transformation programs for Fortune 500 companies and government organizations, focusing on strategy, operating model redesign, and digital enablement. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a Graduate Certificate from IIM Calcutta, and a B.Tech in Computer Science. Passionate about innovation and sustainability, Sandeep actively explores emerging technologies, particularly AI, and advocates for resilient, data-driven decision-making to shape the future of global commerce.

    I have been working in the oil & gas industry with service company called SLB for 10+ years, with the first half as a technical field engineer and the remainder as a supply chain professional mostly in the middle east region. Working in this dynamic business has taught me a lot about the nuanced nature of the supply chain function, with ever changing conditions and market dynamics, it has been always imperative to maintain a lean supply chain to ensure margins are not compromised. During my time in SLB I have been rewarded with multiple HQ level awards and certifications along with some key projects related to sustainability and in country value generation.

    After completing my undergraduate degree in Logistics and Economics, I spent five and a half years as a logistics officer in the army gaining both professional and leadership experience. As of this winter, I will be pursuing an MASc in SCM at MIT. After graduating I hope to pivot my career to the Supply Chain Management side of the bio-tech or Healthcare Industry. In my spare time this semester, I plan on taking road trips and learning how to ski.

    Yuwen Wang is a supply chain strategist with over a decade of experience across transportation operations and SAP-enabled digital transformation consulting. He began his career in logistics operations serving manufacturing, food, and retail clients, leading network optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen resilience and performance.

    He later transitioned to Westernacher Consulting (SAP Diamond Partner), partnering with Fortune 500 companies to implement and stabilize SAP Transportation Management solutions across North America and Europe, translating operational complexity into scalable digital solutions.

    At MIT, Yuwen explores disciplines both within and beyond supply chain — including game theory, system dynamics, supply chain finance, and ML/AI applications. He is particularly interested in creatively integrating these perspectives and analytical tools to solve complex, real-world challenges with a strategic mindset, connecting operational realities with long-term financial impact. He values engaging with classmates from varied industries and backgrounds, believing that the best solutions emerge when different perspectives are rigorously challenged and thoughtfully combined.

    Outside of work, Yuwen enjoys strength training, cycling, photography, car camping, traveling, and an occasional game of poker.
