Hello, I’m Erin Bahm! I grew up in Farmington Hills, Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University in Applied Engineering Sciences with a focus in Supply Chain Management. After graduation, I moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and worked for Target Corporation in Inventory Management and Operations. My experience included managing product purchasing and positioning of multiple $600M+ food & beverage categories and leading enterprise-wide projects to implement ordering optimization strategies and enhance process efficiencies. Outside of work, you’ll often find me hiking through a National Park, perfecting my golf swing or checking out the buzziest new restaurant. I can’t wait to explore New England with my classmates and enjoy everything MIT has to offer!

I’m a Chicagoland native with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Manufacturing Systems Engineering. I have 5 years of experience at Accenture as a Data Science Consultant specializing in retail supply chain analytics. At MIT I joined the MIT Row Crew club and like to spend time sailing on the Charles River. I’m passionate about using data to optimize decision-making in supply chains and look forward to applying these skills after graduation.

I grew up in suburban Philadelphia and earned my undergraduate degree at Penn State where I studied Supply Chain & Information Systems. After graduation, I returned to Philadelphia where I spent my early career at two different consulting firms. I have experience working with companies’ global trade, logistics, and sourcing & procurement functions, and I am excited to enhance my overall supply chain expertise in the MIT SCM program. Outside of school and work, my main hobby is distance running as I have run a full marathon, and multiple half marathons and 10-mile races in the past. This is my first time living outside of Pennsylvania, so I am eager to explore the Boston/Cambridge area, and make the most of my 10 months at MIT.
