I enjoyed all the “philosophical disciplines” (as I would call them), such as continuous improvement and lean inventory management, that were a strong focal point of my undergraduate supply chain education; however, as my undergraduate experience came to close, I was not sure where I fit best within the supply chain practice. As a starting point, I entered PetSmart’s Supply Chain Rotational Analyst Program, and I grew a passion for supply chain analytics. Following six months in the program, I entered the role of the supply chain department’s Data and Reporting Analyst, and it proved to be an incredible opportunity to grow my technical skills within a real-world supply chain context. In this position, I grew an appreciation for equal access to data as a basis for forming holistic, strategic decisions, and I hope to further tackle this data visibility challenge following the SCMr program. Looking forward to engaging with everyone in the cohort and to all the learning to come!
