Nic Holwerda

Hello MIT! My name is Nic, and I am from Grand Haven, Michigan. I join the SCMr program with over 5 years of professional supply chain management experience as well as a BA in Supply Chain Management and Spanish minor from Michigan State University. I began my career at Thermo Fisher Scientific where I completed the company’s Procurement Leadership Development Program and, for a span of four years, held various procurement and operations-focused roles in diagnostics and pharma services. My latest career experience as a Sourcing Manager at MillerKnoll brought me exposure to the furniture and design industries by way of supporting teams in categories such as marketing, sales, travel, and finance. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors and activities like camping, snowboarding, and pickup basketball. As a member of the Class of 2025, I am thrilled to get know each of you and share a journey of a lifetime!
