Tanay Deshpande

Hi! I’m from Mumbai, and been living for the past few years in sunny Singapore and the Philippines. So of course, I moved to Cambridge, MA for the weather. I’ve spent a decade working in investment banking, supply chain analytics, brand and product management across P&G and an SE Asian tech startup. I applied to the SCMr program to transition to research, and I’m beginning that journey via the MEng track with a graduate thesis. I’m interested in applying optimization algorithms, metaheuristics and ML to transportation and infrastructural challenges of the future. I like science fiction and literature. Generally you’ll find me riding in the saddle of an oddly tall bicycle on campus, or backpacking halfway across the world with my wife.
