Yuwen Wang

Candidate, Class of 2026

Yuwen Wang is a supply chain strategist with over a decade of experience across transportation operations and SAP-enabled digital transformation consulting. He began his career in logistics operations serving manufacturing, food, and retail clients, leading network optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen resilience and performance.

He later transitioned to Westernacher Consulting (SAP Diamond Partner), partnering with Fortune 500 companies to implement and stabilize SAP Transportation Management solutions across North America and Europe, translating operational complexity into scalable digital solutions.

At MIT, Yuwen explores disciplines both within and beyond supply chain — including game theory, system dynamics, supply chain finance, and ML/AI applications. He is particularly interested in creatively integrating these perspectives and analytical tools to solve complex, real-world challenges with a strategic mindset, connecting operational realities with long-term financial impact. He values engaging with classmates from varied industries and backgrounds, believing that the best solutions emerge when different perspectives are rigorously challenged and thoughtfully combined.

Outside of work, Yuwen enjoys strength training, cycling, photography, car camping, traveling, and an occasional game of poker.
